The Geology program at SCC provides information about geology on campus through this website.
The GeoScene is a large instructional aid in the North courtyard of the Natural Sciences building.
Study materials for the Physical Geology minerals and rocks segments include:
- a collection of photographs of mineral samples;
- collections of photographs of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks;
- OtTeR online test review software for the mineral and rock lab practicals.
OtTeR
OtTeR2 Minerals and OtTeR2 Rocks provide practice for Physical Geology lab practicals.
You will be shown photographs of the 32 minerals or 28 rocks covered in Physical Geology and given two questions for the shown sample. Click on the buttons you believe have the correct answers and click the Next button for an updated score. Repeat this selection for all of the samples presented to you.
